20250705 Controlling My Mindset

In The Shawshank Redemption, a very famous movie, there’s a line that says,
“They can’t take that away from you.”
It refers to the music and freedom in your mind.

In Night and Fog, a powerful documentary about life in Auschwitz concentration camp, there’s a similar message:
“To choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances can’t be taken from a man.”

These stories taught me that even in unimaginable situations or terrible experiences, I can still choose to stay honest and true to myself.
If you watch them, I’m sure you’ll be deeply moved.

Although these stories are set in extreme suffering, I believe the same mindset applies to good situations as well.
In other words, even if I were in an exciting or successful moment, I could still choose not to act rude, arrogant, or look down on others.

We can choose how to think and how to behave — in both bad times and good.
In the end, a person’s true worth is not decided by their abilities, but by their attitude.
